Washington: US House of Representatives approved a resolution to curb President Donald Trump's power to use military forces against Iran and sent the bill to his desk where it was expected to be vetoed.
On Wednesday, the House passed the war powers resolution in a largely party-line vote of 227 against 186.
The resolution directs the President to terminate the use of the American military for hostilities against Iran without congressional approval.
The Republican-controlled Senate passed the resolution last month.
