Houston: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday reached Houston where he is scheduled to address 50,000 Indian diaspora at mega 'Howdy Modi' event.
Sunday's mega event at the massive NRG stadium will see enthusiastic Indian diaspora members greet Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he takes the stage along with US President Donald Trump joining him in a rare gesture.
PM Modi was received by Director, Trade and International Affairs, Christopher Olson and other officials. Indian Ambassador to US Harsh Vardhan Shringla and US Ambassador to India Ken Juster were also presented for his welcome.
PM Modi is scheduled to have a round table meeting with the CEOs of oil sector companies on the first day of his arrival in the US.
The event at the NRG Stadium will be followed by a luncheon meeting with elected officials and a community reception at the same venue.
