Charge D'Affaires reiterates Biden's commitment to strengthen US-India partnership

Daniel B Smith, interim US ambassador to India, has reiterated President Joe Biden's objective of strengthening the US-India partnership.

New Delhi: The interim US ambassador to India Daniel B Smith on Friday reiterated President Joe Biden's objective of strengthening the US-India partnership.

He said President Biden attaches great importance to the relationship of the US with India.

"I look forward to working towards even closer cooperation between our governments and people. This is a challenging time for the people of India. The COVID-19 virus has touched the lives of many and the United States governments is working round the clock to provide life-saving assistance to India as we combat the virus together," the American ambassador to India said in a video message.

He asserted that the American people and companies stand with India and recalled that President Biden has said that the US will be with India during this crisis as India was there for America at the time of need.

He thanked India and said that he looks forward to working with the nation.
