Americans share their COVID-19 experience with ETV Bharat

Three American citizens shared their experience of navigating through the COVID-19 crisis with ETV Bharat, speaking about their work, the on-ground situation, and adjusting to their new food habits.

Washington D.C.: With the COVID-19 situation escalating to a more critical stage in the United States of America, three American citizens sent video messages to ETV Bharat, talking about their experience of navigating through the pandemic.

Jennifer Baker, a Public Health student at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, said all classes were being offered virtually at her varsity. She added that it was an opportunity for students to learn from experts in the field.

Baker said that just like in India, even the state of Maryland, where she currently lives, has shut down all non-essential businesses, with most of the people staying home.

Kitty Hendricks, who works in a library in Arkansas, shot a video of herself from a deserted park, which she said was usually brimming with people. She said that all employees at the library are now making masks to help the community stay safe.

Similarly Channy Brisket, a resident of Chicago, spoke about his dietary issues. He said he was used to eating fresh vegetables and meat, but is now making do with protein bars, chips, and rice cakes as he is not venturing out.
