5 died in a plane crash in Honduras

5 people died in a plane crash off the coast of Roatan island in Honduras. The plane crashed in the Atlantic a little after take-off.

Roatan Islas Bahia: 5 people including four American and one Canadian pilot died in a plane crash off the coast of Roatan island in Honduras on Saturday.

The incident took place when Piper PA-32-260 Cherokee Six was on its way to the port city of Trujillo, a popular destination for tourists from the United States, Canada and Europe. The plane crashed in the Atlantic a little after take-off.

The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.

The military rescue boats of Honduras recovered the bodies and transported the pilot to the hospital, where he died due to internal injuries. The four passengers died on the spot possibly from impact.
