New Delhi: Newly elected Lok Sabha MP from Samastipur and LJP's chief in Bihar Prince Raj on Saturday said that he along with party workers would work to strengthen the party in Bihar.
I will work to strengthen LJP in Bihar: Prince Raj Prince Raj, who came to the national capital for the first time after being elected MP, was welcomed the party workers and family members.
Thanking his uncle and Union minister Ramvilas Paswan and party workers for ensuring victory for him in the just concluded by-poll, Prince Raj said he would try and complete work started by his father Ram Chandra Paswan.
Ram Chandra Paswan died in a hospital here a few months ago.
Prince Raj was on Friday appointed as the LJP's new chief in Bihar, replacing his uncle Pashupati Kuma Paras, also a member of Parliament.
The appointment was made by Lok Janshakti Party president Ramvilas Paswan. Prince Raj trounced senior Bihar Congress leader Ashok Kumar in the by-poll at Samastipur reserved seat.
Interacting with the media, Chirag Paswan, son of Ramvilas Paswan, said the party would work hard keeping in mind the 2020 Bihar assembly elections.
Prince Raj also thanked Chirag Paswan for being there and playing the role of his father during the campaigning for the by-polls.
