Watch: Anushka Sharma keeps its casual yet trendy as she heads out of Mumbai

Actor Anushka Sharma was sighted at the Mumbai airport leaving for France. This year's Cannes Film Festival will mark her debut on the red carpet.

Hyderabad:Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma is all set to make her Cannes debut this year. The Cannes film festival began on May 16 and since then fans of the actor have been waiting for her to walk the red carpet. And finally, much to her fans' surprise, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor was spotted at the Mumbai airport jetting out of town ahead of her Cannes debut.

For the outing, Anushka chose a casual yet stylish outfit as she was photographed by paparazzi stationed there. She can be seen in the video sporting black trousers and a white T-shirt. She finished off her ensemble with a black sling bag, a baseball hat, stylish sunglasses and white trainers. She greeted the photographers as she got out of her cr and made way to the airport entry point.

Anushka Sharma will make her red carpet debut at the 76th Cannes Film Festival this year. She will attend the famous film festival to honour women in films alongside Kate Winslet and Manushi Chillar. She will also be representing the brand L'Oreal Paris.

The company will give out the "Lights on Women" award from L'Oreal Paris. The award recognises talented female short-film filmmakers from the official Cannes Short Films selection. It was established to honour women in filmmaking. Brand ambassador Kate will reveal the laureate for 2023 at the Cinema de Demain Dinner on May 26 along with Anushka.

On the professional front, Anushka Sharma will next be seen in Chakda Xpress, her forthcoming flick. Jhulan Goswami, a former Indian pacer, is the subject of the film. The actress is all set to portray her character on screen. The film's release date, however, is yet to be announced. It is expected to be available on OTT later this year.
