Hyderabad: Entrepreneur Upasana Kamineni Konidela is all set to welcome first child with her actor husband Ram Charan is known. On the occasion of Mother's Day, the mommy-to-be shared her thoughts on embracing motherhood. For Upasana, it was more important to have a child when she was ready for it than conform to societal norms.
Taking to Instagram, Upasana shared a picture in black activewear. Flaunting her baby bump, the 33-year-old entrepreneur wrote an insightful note on what drew her close to the idea of motherhood and having a child after a decade of married life. Upasana, who is the Vice Chairperson of Apollo Life and the Editor-in-Chief of B Positive Magazine, in her post said that she is "proud to embrace motherhood for all the right reasons."
Sharing her thoughts on motherhood, Upasana wrote, "I did not do it to conform to society's expectations or to fit. My decision to become a mother was not driven by a desire to carry on a legacy or to strengthen my marriage. I chose to have a child when I was emotionally prepared to give unconditional love & care that my child deserves for his/her overall well-being." Concluding her post, Upasana wrote, "🥂Celebrating my first #mothersday."

For unversed, Upasana and Ram Charan tied the knot in 2012 after a few years of courtship. Charan and Upasana did face public scrutiny for not having a child for so long but they were a strong unit as a couple who did not succumb to pressure and decided to become parents when they were ready for parenthood.
