'Thank God it was my husband!' Priyanka Chopra on sharing onscreen kiss with Nick Jonas in Love Again

Actor Priyanka Chopra's husband Nick Jonas appears in a cameo in her upcoming rom-com film Love Again. The actor spoke about their makeout scene shot during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hyderabad: Global star Priyanka Chopra's real-life spouse Nick Jonas plays a love interest in her forthcoming Hollywood movie alongside Sam Heughan. The trailer of the romantic comedy was released this year on Valentine's Day. In the rom-com, Nick makes a hilarious cameo as Priyanka's date. Priyanka plays the character of Mira, who tells Nick's character to down when he starts to lick her face slowly in the back of a taxi. It's not even close to being awkward to describe the situation. Priyanka has now spoken up about the scene.

Additionally, Priyanka disclosed how Nick Jonas initially came to land the part. She said that a 'random guy' was originally intended to perform the part. However, it was the movie's director James C. Strouse who had the idea to cast her husband Nick in the brief role. Priyanka and Nick got married in 2018. In addition to being a musician, Nick has also been in films including Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), among others.

On a chat show when Priyanka was asked about her 'specific scene' with Nick in the film, she said, "Thank God it was my husband! The scene was written that it was a bad online date. With this guy, I am eventually like 'Take it slow', and starts licking my face slowly. And this is during Covid-19, and they had to cast a random guy to do it. I was just dreading that. I am okay with no saliva in these situations, especially with someone you don't know." Love Again is all set to hit the theatres on May 12.
