Manoj Bajpayee blames his temper on fallout with Anurag Kashyap, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Hansal Mehta

During a recent chat show, Manoj Bajpayee talked candidly about his "mistakes of youth" that led to a fallout with film directors Anurag Kashyap, Tigmanshu Dhulia, and Hansal Mehta.

Hyderabad:Anurag Kashyap, a filmmaker, has previously asserted that actor Manoj Bajpayee is a hothead, and rumours of his rage are known from Bihar to Mumbai. Kashyap further described how Bajpayee once chased him down with a stone in his hand after he thought the filmmaker had insulted him. In response to these allegations, Bajpayee reportedly accepted all of the claims during a recent talk show saying he gets easily irritated and has in the past made "mistakes of youth."

When Manoj was reminded recently on Rajat Sharma's Aap Ki Adalat that Kashyap didn't talk to him for 11 years due to various issues, he recalled, "Once I got angry with him and ran behind him to beat him." Anurag had previously narrated the whole story on The Kapil Sharma Show about why Bajpayee followed him. "When Hansal (Mehta) was directing Khana Khazana, we all used to gather at Gulzar's house for food tasting, because we were all hungry and struggling," he explained. Manoj felt I said something to insult him, so he chased me down with a stone in his hand, trying to beat me as Hansal tried to stop him."

Rajat Sharma also reminded Bajpayee about the day he raced behind filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia holding a brick. Without going into detail about what prompted him to do so, Bajpayee shrugged it aside, stating, "These are all the mistakes of my youth." When pressed for more information, The Family Man actor responded, "Daaru pii kar ladayi ho gayi thi aur kya (we got into a fight after getting drunk)." Hansal Mehta, a filmmaker, too ceased speaking with Bajpayee after he contacted him in the US and hurled abuses at him.

Mehta didn't speak to the actor for six years after the incident. "Ji Sahi Hai," Bajpayee admitted, "it was my mistake. I admit it." However, the four of them have all sorted out their differences. Now, Manoj Bajpayee has become close friends with Anubhav Sinha, Anurag Kashyap, Hansal Mehta, and Tigmanshu Dhulia, and has collaborated with them on various critically praised projects.
