Hyderabad:Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit Nene's mother Snehlata Dixit has passed away. According to a source, Madhuri's mother died on Sunday morning. She was ninety years old. Snehlata Dixit's last rites are expected to take place today at around 3:00 p.m. at the Worli crematorium. Madhuri's mother's cause of death is still unknown.
As soon as the news broke out, her fans took to social media to express their heartfelt condolences. "RIP Snehlata ji. Sending heartfelt condolences to Madhuri Dixit and her family during this difficult time. We will always remember the love and warmth that her mother brought into this world. May her soul rest in peace," wrote a well-wisher. Expressing concern, a fan wrote: "Just glad that Madhuri’s siblings are also here in India and on their mother’s last days all were together with her."
"Heartbreaking to see that the most inspiring & supportive person in #MadhuriDixit's life is no more. Mam must be so sad at this tough time,her heart must be crying. Deepest condolences & prayers for her family. May her soul rest in eternal peace #RIPSnehlata ji. Stay strong," wrote another. "i'm sending my condolences to you and to your family, @MadhuriDixit ma'am. *hugs*," penned another fan.
Madhuri used to address her mother as 'aai.' Earlier, on her mother's birthday, Madhuri had shared a heartfelt note for her on her Instagram handle. The actress wrote: Aai, happy birthday! A mother is supposedly a daughter's best friend. They couldn't possibly be more correct. The greatest gift you have given me out of all that you have done for me is the lessons that you have taught me. I simply have your health and happiness in mind.
