Hyderabad: Bollywood star Kriti Sanon in a recent interview opened up about her modelling days before she entered the film industry. The star recalled how she messed up her first photoshoot. She stated that she's 'a perfectionist, almost irritatingly so' and it made her cry after her first photoshoot did not go well. She said that the fact that she "didn't do well" in it truly bothered her.
Kriti has been actively promoting her forthcoming movie Adipurush, in which she co-stars with Prabhas. The actor dabbled in modelling before signing up for her first movie. Kriti made her acting debut in the Telugu movie 1: Nenokkadine in 2014 alongside Mahesh Babu. The same year, she co-starred with Tiger Shroff in Heropanti, her first Hindi movie. Talking about her modelling days, Kriti recalls being 'extremely nervous' during her first photoshoot.
During an interview with the media, Kriti said, "My mother is a professor and the first woman to hold a job in her family. In fact, she completed her PhD while she was pregnant with me. And being the firstborn, sometimes you have to shoulder the responsibility of setting an example. So I've always felt pressure to excel in whatever I do, I think it's inbuilt. And I am a perfectionist, almost irritatingly so. I can recall being really anxious during my first photoshoot, and I screwed up a little. I was upset that I didn't perform well, so I cried when I got home. However, confidence can be built over time. My motto is to learn because I really think that failures teach you more than victories ever could."
