Hyderabad: Despite the critics' negative to mixed reviews of Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the movie is doing well at the box office. After a much weaker Friday debut of Rs 15 crore, the movie went on to earn Rs 25 crore over the Eid holiday on Saturday, and similar numbers were recorded on Sunday. It currently has a total collection of about Rs 66.5 crore domestically.
The film is helmed by Farhad Samji of Housefull 4 fame. It features a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as the protagonist opposite the gorgeous Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Bigg Boss 13 fame Shehnaaz Gill, debutant Palak Tiwari, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Jassie Gill, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Vijender Singh, and Vinali Bhatnagar. The film is produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films (SKF).
Talking about the film's business, a report states that the Salman Khan starrer's estimated Sunday box office receipts were between Rs 24.50 and 25 crore net. According to the report, collections on Sunday improved in states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar. According to the report, the movie has been doing well overseas, with Gulf-driven collections pushing it closer to the $4.5 million milestone.
Both Palak Tiwari and Shehnaaz Gill made their Bollywood debuts with this movie. When asked about making her acting debut in a Salman Khan movie, Palak responded, 'Whatever happens, happens for the best. Rosie never materialised, for whatever reason. However, I was given a much greater opportunity by Salman, a much-known face whose generosity is also well known. Nobody could have asked for a better debut, in my opinion.' She had previously been offered Vivek Oberoi's Rosie.
