Hyderabad: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his estranged wife Aaliya have been hitting the headlines for the legal dispute between them which has been ongoing for a while. Aaliya recently thanked her husband for collaborating in her recent film Holy Cow. Helmed by Sai Kabir, the film also stars Sanjay Mishra in the lead role. The movie landed on Prime Video earlier this week after being released in theatres last year in August.
In a recent interview with the media, Aaliya talked about working alongside her estranged husband. She made it clear that she has no problem working with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the movie despite being involved in a separation conflict. She did not want to let her career suffer.
"Nawaz and I are quite far from one another personally, but you should not ever let your personal life interfere with your work life," Aaliya said in reference to his cameo. "Therefore, if as an actor he fits a part, I would not mind contacting him or working with him. Even though I have a lot going on in my personal life, I make sure that work gets done," she said.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui's performance, according to Aaliya, has elevated the movie above its capabilities. "It's a really short movie. It didn't get a good reach because our P & A was poor. You need a certain amount of support to get it seen by the public, but we have only recently been able to release the movie. Had it gotten more backing, it would have done wonders. However, I don't want to sulk over it because at least now, I've got a good platform on OTT," she said.
