Hyderabad: Anurag Kashyap, who is preparing for the midnight screening of his film Kennedy at the Cannes Film Festival, spoke with Anupama Chopra about the project. the bollywood director in the recent conversation talked about his upcoming film Kennedy and the reason behind its unique name. The critically acclaimed director was in talks with film critic Anupama Chopra when he revealed that the film was earlier called Kennedy Project.
Apparently, Anurag had an actor in mind to play the protagonist and so he named the film after him. On the massive revelation, Anupama couldn't hold back to ask who the actor was. Anurag went on to say that he approached Ponniyin Selvan star Chiyaan Vikram for the film, who's real name is Kennedy, and so he named the film after him. However, Vikram didn't respond and the film eventually went to Rahul Bhatt.
He is currently in France right now for the world premiere of his film Kennedy at the famous Cannes Film Festival 2023. Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane are in Cannes for the Kennedy Centre Honours. It has been chosen for a Midnight Screening at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
