Anupam Kher makes OTT debut with his 537th film titled Vijay 69, fans pour love on quirky poster

Anupam Kher comes together with Yash raj Films for his 537th film. The film is slated for an OTT release, however, the release date for the movie has not yet been finalised.

Hyderabad:One of the most sought-after production companies in India Yash Raj Films took to their official social media handle to make an announcement about their upcoming fim. Their upcoming OTT project, Vijay 69, was revealed by their digital division, YRF Entertainment. Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher is slated to play the lead role in the movie.

Along with the announcement, the creators unveiled a poster for the film, which is described as a slice-of-life drama. Sharing the film's poster, lead actor Anupam Kher wrote: "ANNOUNCEMENT: It's good to be 69 years young!" The Accidental Prime Minister actor further wrote: 'I'm thrilled to be playing the lead in @yrfentertainment's #Vijay69, a funny slice-of-life film for OTT about a man who decides to compete in a triathlon at the age of 69. Let's get this started! Jai Ho! 🏊🏻🚴🏻🏃🏻#AkshayRoy #ManeeshSharma"

Maneesh Sharma is producing the film, which will be helmed by Akshay Roy, who previously directed Meri Pyaari Bindu starring Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana. The film's OTT platform and release date have not yet been confirmed. However, the cartoonish poster was enough to pique the interest of the viewers.

This is not the first light hearted sports-themed slice-of-life film of the actor. Shiv Shastri Balboa,a film on the same theme, was recently released by Anupam, who continues to do challenging roles and improves with every film. He continues to serve fitness goals and inspires people of all ages to learn something new, even if they are 60 or older!

On his 68th birthday, Anupam Kher posted a video in which he stated that he began learning to swim to overcome his phobia of water and that it is never too late to start anything new. He was most recently seen in films like Uunchai and Shiv Shashtri Balboa, both of which received critical acclaim.
