Amitabh Bachchan's first look poster from Kalki 2898 AD out on 81st birthday, Prabhas extends wishes to 'legend'

The makers of the upcoming sci-fi drama Kalki 2898 AD shared Amitabh Bachchan's first look poster from the film on the screen icon's 81st birthday on Wednesday.

Hyderabad:To mark the occasion of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, the makers of his upcoming sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD unveiled his first look poster from the film. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the mega-budgeted film will feature Big B alongside Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.

"It's an honor to be part of your journey and witness your greatness. Happy Birthday @amitabhbachchan sir 🙏- Team #Kalki2898AD," reads the caption alongside Big B's first look from Kalki. The promotional asset did not reveal Big B's face nonetheless it looks intriguing as far as aesthetics are concerned.

Prabhas also joined Kalki makers in wishing Big B on his 81st birthday. The Baahubali star took to his Instagram Stories to share the Big B's first look from Kalki and penned a birthday wish for the thespian. "Blessed to be working with the legend who has inspired generations! It's an absolute dream come true. Happy birthday sir!" wrote Prabhas.

Kalki 2898 AD is bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Movies, the banner that has churned out acclaimed films like Sita Ramam and Mahanati. The film is said to be mounted on a massive scale. According to reports, the production banner has greenlit a budget of Rs 600 for Nag Ashwin to bring his vision alive on screens.

The film's premise is set in the distant future of 2898 AD and seamlessly blends futuristic elements with rich storytelling, offering an unparalleled and immersive cinematic experience, if its first glimpse released at the San Deigo Comic Con (SDCC) in July is anything to go by. The film is all set to hit the theatres on January 12, 2024.
