Hyderabad: And the wait is finally over. Adipurush's much anticipated trailer was released on May 9. Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, is a mythological drama based on the epic Ramayana. Prabhas plays Raghav, Kriti Sanon plays Janaki, while Sunny Singh plays Lakshman in the film.
Saif Ali Khan will play the part of Lankesh in the film.The Adipurush trailer was published not only in India, but also in 70 other countries including Canada, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Russia, Egypt, and others. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the lead actors shared the trailer on their respective social media handles.
Adipurush will be presented on June 13 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, according to the filmmakers. "I am honoured that Adipurush will have its World Premiere At The Tribeca Festival, New York," Prabhas remarked of the premiere. It is an honour to be a part of a project that reflects the values of our country. To watch our Indian films, particularly one close to my heart, Adipurush, reach a global audience makes me tremendously proud, not only as an actor but also as an Indian. "I'm excited to see how the audience reacts at Tribeca," he remarked.
Om Raut, the film's director, stated, "Adipurush is not a film; it is an emotion, a sentiment." It is our concept of a story that embodies the essence of India." On the professional front, Prabhas will also be featured in the upcoming action movie Salaar, as well as Project K, with Deepika Padukone.
