Leopard attacks pilgrims en route to Tirumala, 2 injured

Pilgrims were attacked by a leopard while on their way to the Lord Balaji temple in Tirumala. The injured were immediately shifted to a hospital and are being treated for the wounds, they had sustained in the attack.

Tirumala (AP):A leopard attacked pilgrims, who were on their way to Lord Balaji temple in Tirumala, on Sunday.

"Two people have been injured in two separate incidents and attacks have taken place on Sunday night," the officials said.

The injured have been identified as Yamini (20) and Pavani (12) who were on their way to the hill shrine.

The two girls have been shifted to Aswini hospital for treatment.
