I will always be a participant in PAGD: Mehbooba Mufti

PDP President Mehbooba Mufti has said that the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration represents the sentiments of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and she will remain a member of this alliance.

(Srinagar) J&K: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti has said that the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration represents the sentiments of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and she will remain a member of this alliance. Mufti convened a meeting of five senior party leaders at her residence today in which she reiterated her commitment that the PAGD represents the sentiments of the people.

It is to be noted that the meeting of the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration was scheduled to be held yesterday but the meeting was suspended due to the absence of Mehbooba. Mufti said that she could not attend the meeting due to personal work which caused the meeting to be suspended.

However, political sources said that after the meeting of 14 political leaders with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on June 24, the PAGD has come to a standstill. This is because the participants of Gupkar Alliance had made various statements regarding Section 370, due to which Mehbooba Mufti has shown no interest in attending the PAGD meeting.
