New Delhi:Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Delhi visit on Tuesday has hogged the headlines over speculations that he might meet Prime Minister Modi. Reacting to this, Prof. Subodh Mehta, the National Spokesperson of the RJD says that it is high time Nitish Kumar demanded special status for Bihar, central university status for Patna University and a special package for the agro-based industry.
He said that despite several demands made earlier regarding Bihar's special status, nothing worked out. Now, with the NDA government both at the Center and in the state, Nitish Kumar must demand for special status. The RJD spokesperson went onto say that every year Bihar gets flooded due to water being released from Nepal and hence the central government should make an agreement with the Nepal government to ensure that the problems related to flooding are solved.
