Multi-storey building collapses in Mumbai, nine people evacuated

Mumbai:A 5-storey building collapsed near AK Marg, Behram Nagar, Reza Masjid in the Bandra East, Mumbai. The ground plus four-storey structure caved in at around 3.50 pm in the western suburb, the official said. Nine people were evacuated and admitted to the hospital.

The condition of all of them is stable and a search operation is still on to find out if anyone else is trapped under the pile, according to the municipal emergency management department.

Earlier, the fire brigade and police personnel immediately rushed to the spot, where a rescue operation was launched. Half a dozen ambulances, five fire engines, and one rescue van were at the site.
