6 dead, 2 injured in road accident in Palghar

Six persons died and two others were injured in a road accident on Friday evening on the Mumbai- Ahmedabad Highway in Maharashtra's Palghar district. "Two cars and a motorcycle collided. Six people have died and two others have sustained serious injuries, said Palghar PRO.

Palghar( Maharastra):A fatal road accident took place on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway in the area near Palghar district of Maharastra.

According to an eye-witness, the incident took place at 4.30pm in which two cars and a motorcycle collided with each other.

"Six people have died and two others have sustained serious injuries. The serious persons have been rushed to a nearby hospital and the dead bodies are sent for Post-mortem", said Palghar Police PRO Hemant Katkar. Till now the reason for accident remain undiscovered, and further details about the persons injured are awaited, added PRO. The accident spot comes under Kasa Police station, limits in the district's Dahanu tehsil,
an official said.
