Kota (Rajasthan): A family in Rajasthan had to carry the body of a Covid patient in their car as the ambulance driver demanded a large sum of money.
Unable to afford the amount, relatives strapped the body using the seat belt.
Though the administration had made claims of providing ambulances and taking action against black marketing, nothing so far has happened on the ground level.

Seema, a resident of Jhalawar who tested Covid positive was undergoing treatment at the Kota Medical College before she died. When the family spoke to an ambulance driver to transport the body from Kota to Jhalawar, the latter demanded Rs 35,000.
Having negotiated further, the ambulance driver demanded Rs 18000, however, the family members said they could afford only Rs 5000. As a result, the family members had to transport the body to their village in their car.
