New Delhi:The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday reacted sharply to West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee's remark at some people who hurled chants of 'Jai Sri Ram' at her convoy while she was on the way to Chandrakona in West Bengal, saying TMC president's remark was an outcome of frustration as the party is losing elections across the state.
Targeting TMC president, BJP spokesperson G.V.L. Narasimha Rao said that Mamata is denying the existence of God and showing anger against the idolaters of Hindu religion.
Mamata on Saturday was greeted with 'Jai Sri Ram' slogans in West Midnapore. The incident took place when she was on her way to Chandrakona to address a public meeting and a ‘padayatra’.
