New Delhi: The Union Home Minister has asked the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Skill Development to explore possibilities to generate employment in Jammu & Kashmir.
"If we can provide jobs to the youths in J&K, we can keep them connected to the mainstream," said a senior government official.

Meanwhile, the Union Home Minister also accepted that unemployment in J&K is a major reason for youth taking up arms.
Significantly, the Parliament has recently passed the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill giving opportunity to avail 10 per cent reservation in government jobs and schemes to the people living within 10 km area of the international border.
In fact, ever since Amit Shah assumed charge as the Home Minister, he has clearly said that Jammu & Kashmir would be in his core agenda.
"The separatists have been using the youths and people of J&K for their own goals...it was necessary to keep a tab on their activities," the official added.
