Hyderabad: 50 child labourers rescued from bangle-making unit

Around 50 child labourers were rescued from a bangle-making unit in Balanagar of Hyderabad on Friday night. The police arrested the owner of the unit and are in the process of collecting details of the children to send them back to their homes.

Hyderabad:Police rescued around 50 child labourers allegedly working at a bangle-making unit in Balanagar of Hyderabad on Friday night.

The Balapur police raided the suburbs of Osman Nagar and freed the children. More than half of the freed child labourers are from other states and were made to do dangerous works at the unit.

Police have arrested the owner of the unit and are further investigating the matter.

They are also collecting the details of the children to send them back to their homes.
