Haldwani (Uttarakhand): Setting an example for the voters, Savitri Devi, a 101-year-old woman from Dina Gram Sabha of Haldochar in Haldwani in Uttarakhand, has assured to cast her vote in the ensuing Lok Sabha election.
The elderly woman is all excited to cast her vote in the first phase of Lok Sabha election which will take place on April 11. Savitri still understands the importance of her vote and motivates people to vote.

"The government should honour the veteran voters during the election. This will encourage them to vote. The government should also make proper arrangements for the elderly people to reach the polling booth and cast their vote," Savitri's son Basant Joshi said.
Another woman of the area, Revati Devi, 92, will also cast her vote in the 17th Lok Sabha election.
On the other hand, Gram Pradhan Bala Dutt Kholiya, told that from time to time elderly people of his region were honoured on the occasion of the voter day.
