According to Professor Dr. BP Tyagi, an ENT specialist, people infected with symptoms of 'mukor septicus' (Yellow Fungus) will face symptoms such as - lethargy, low appetite, or no appetite at all, weight loss, leakage of pus at the site of infection, slow healing of wounds and eyes appear sunken due to malnutrition.
As the infection turns severe it would lead to organ failure and necrosis, says Dr. Tyagi adding that Yellow fungus is a fatal disease because the infection develops internally and therefore it is important to note the symptoms.
