It is known that the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) had decided to observe a 'black day' on May 26 to mark six months of protests by farmers against the new agriculture laws introduced by the Indian government.
SKM had requested farmers across the nation to gather at the Delhi border to strengthen the protest on Wednesday. The SKM is a coalition of over forty Indian farmers' unions formed to coordinate the satyagraha against the three farm acts initiated in September 2020.
