New Delhi:Oommen Chandy, former Chief Minister of Kerala accused the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) ruled Kerala government for not taking steps to send the governor back, on Monday.
Congress has been demanding the withdrawal of Governor Arif Mohamed Khan as he is supporting the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) which both the ruling and the oppositions are opposing.
"We have been demanding the withdrawal of governor. However, the CPI(M) government and CM is not considering that" Chandy told the media in Delhi.
The Congress leader also said, "The CM and his colleagues are claiming that they have made the governor read the anti-CAA words while the Kerala Legislative Assembly passed a resolution recently. There is nothing significant in making the governor read the resolution. Because the resolution was passed unanimously by the ruling and opposition."
