Chaibasa (Jharkhand):Around 12 kg IED, hundreds of cartridges, Maoist literature and other explosives were recovered in a search operation, conducted jointly by the police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Jharkhand's Chaibasa district on Saturday.
12 kg IED recovered from Maoist area in Jharkhand After getting specific inputs, a joint team of District Force and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) had launched a de-mining operation to trace the explosives.
The IEDs, weighing 4 kg each, were packed in steel containers. They were unearthed from the forest near a village of the district, said CRPF Commandant.
12 kg IED recovered from Maoist area in Jharkhand The IEDs were planted to target the security forces, adding that the explosives were immediately destroyed by a bomb disposal squad.
