Jewar airport will be operational by 2022: Aviation Minister Nand Gopal Gupta

Civil Aviation Minister of Uttar Pradesh Nand Gopal Gupta said that the first flight will take off by 2022 in Uttar Pradesh's Jewar airport.

Lucknow (UP):The Civil Aviation Minister of Uttar Pradesh Nand Gopal Gupta today assured that Jawar airport will be operational by 2022.

Giving project credit to the UP government, he said that the BJP is doing all its effort to develop the state, keeping in mind the last people of the country.

When asked about the number of runways, he said, seeking the huge air traffic, the government is approaching to build 8 runways but this number is not sure, it could be increased if the centre permits.

Meanwhile, he also informed that Modi Cabinet on Wednesday stamped on the decision to hand over the operation of Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru Airports to the Adani Group.

Adani Group will now look after these three airports for a period of 50 years.
