The continual sloganeering of the opposition, including a protest, staged by the leaders in the 'well of the house', forced Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Wala to cut short his joint address to the state assembly, at the start of the 10-day budget session.
Even as Wala was reading out his speech in Hindi, BJP members walked towards the Chair and raised slogans against the JDS-Congress coalition government, drowning his voice in the din.
BJP leaders further stated that the Governor should not make the speech as the present government had no majority.
