Amid lockdown, 71-year-old Karnataka man airlifted from Germany to Bengaluru for treatment

Seeking immediate treatment, a 71-year-old man who had been suffering from heart problem was brought back from Germany to Bengaluru in a chartered flight.

Bengaluru:A 71-year-old man who has been suffering from heart problem and had bypass surgery was brought back from Germany to Bengaluru in a chartered flight on Tuesday for treatment.

According to sources, the ailing person had been to his daughter house in Germany and was airlifted on Tuesday, subsequently admitted to a private hospital near JC road in Bengaluru.

When his condition started deteriorating again, he contacted the doctor in Bengaluru.

Following the health request, the doctors then contacted Karnataka Chief Secretary, Secretaries in various departments of Union Government and all clearances were obtained, sources said.
