I have seen God in Khakee: Pregnant woman lauds Noida police

A woman hailing from Bareilly posted a video on the social media platform while grappling from labour pain at her home on Friday. Noida police reacted immediately and helped the lady. Later, the lady posted a heartwarming video saying- "I have seen God in Khakee."

Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh):In a humanitarian gesture, Noida police helped a man to reach his hometown where his wife was grappling from severe labour pain on Friday.

According to Tamanna Khan, hailing from Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, she posted a video on the social media platform tagging a media firm, ADCP Noida Ranvijay Singh asking the police to help her husband in reaching home.

"Hi, my name is Tamanna Khan, a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly. I am suffering from severe labour pain and no one is there to help me out. My hubby got stuck in Noida due to nationwide-lockdown. I request Noida police to help my husband", said Khan in a video.

Reacting on the video, ADCP Ranvijay Singh contacted her husband and helped the man in reaching his hometown.

The woman grappling with labour pain delivered a baby boy on Friday at a hospital near here.

"I have not seen God but, today, I have seen God helping me in Khakhee (Dress colour of Indian Police). If they were not helped my husband, I might have lost my life. I would like to thank Hindustan Times, ADCP Noida Police," said Khan in a video after delivering a male child.

In the 2-minute video, Khan said, "I could able to save my life due to the grace of ADCP. So, I have decided to name my child after the name of ADCP Ranvijay Singh.

Talking to ETV Bharat, Noida ADCP Singh said, "I got the information through a social media platform. I called my colleagues and asked them to help the lady on a priority basis."

Mr Singh further maintained that if anyone who is in urgent need of police, call on emergency numbers or the local police.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a complete lockdown across the country for 21 days from Tuesday midnight, asserting that social distancing is the only way out for the country in its decisive battle against the coronavirus.

Drones were deployed to warn people against breaching restrictions and more booked for the violations on the third day of the three-week coronavirus lockdown on Friday, as central and state authorities ramped up measures to ensure there was no supply disruption of essential commodities.
