Aligarh (UP): Former finance minister Yashwant Sinha was called by the students to the dharna site at the Bab-e-Sayyad gate of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Act, but was prevented from going inside the varsity by the administration.
AMU admin stops former finance min Speaking to the media, he said that the country has been disturbed. There are protests all over the country regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act and accused the UP government of committing violence.

Sinha said, "Peace is the most needed thing in the country. Therefore, remembering Gandhiji I have started a "Gandhi Shanti Yatra" from the Gateway of India in Mumbai. The Gandhi Yatra will conclude at Rajghat on Thursday after a 21-day journey. This journey will reach Delhi via Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh."
"Nathuram Godse's ideology will not work in Gandhi's land. The country will follow the path of truth, non-violence and peace," Sinha said.
He said that the main message of this visit is that the government should withdraw the black law. He said that the protest that is taking place should be done in a peaceful manner so that the government does not commit any violence.
Speaking about the budget, he said that all expectations from the government are dead. The condition of the economy is very serious. The Modi government has brought the economy to the abyss.
"The treasury of the government is absolutely empty. They do not have money to give to state governments. He said that the economic policies of the Modi government are wrong. Demonetisation and GST were implemented incorrectly. The economy is in bad shape due to these reasons. Demonetisation has caused a huge loss to the economy but the government is not ready to accept it. The wrong policies of the Modi government are responsible for the ruin of the economy," he added.

He told that there was no communalism in the time of Atal Bihari Bajpai's government. Atal Ji ran the government with seriousness. He never did the work of dividing Muslims but the current government is doing the same.
Speaking about his son Jayant Sinha, the minister in the BJP, he said," We both are adults and are free to take decisions, let him make their decision. I will make my decisions. I have left the Bharatiya Janata Party and for this reason, my ideology has been changed.
About the Delhi elections, Yashwant Sinha said that the BJP is going to lose badly in the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections. The biggest proof of this is the language style of BJP leaders.
