New Delhi: A special courrt under the Prevention pf Money Laundering Act (PMLA) has granted permission to the Income Tax Department to auction the paintings and cars of Nirav Modi, the fugitive businessman whom the Scotland Yard arrested on Tuesday afternoon in London.
An official of the agency told ETV Bharat that a PMLA court in Mumbai has been permitted to sell these properties. The official also told that the ED might send a team of officials to London in coming week regarding the case as Modi is being produced in the Westminster Magistrate's Court today.
