New Delhi: Several automobile companies have released their annual sales result on Monday. Maruti Suzuki India and Ashok Leyland has reported a decline in sales where as Toyota Kirloskar Motor has noted increase in their sales.
1. Maruti reports 1.6% dip in March sales at 1,58,076 units
The country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India today reported 1.6 per cent decline in sales at 1,58,076 units in March. The company had sold 1,60,598 units in March last year, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement.
Domestic sales declined marginally at 1,47,613 units last month as against 1,48,582 units in the year-ago month, it added. Sales of mini cars comprising Alto were at 16,826 units as compared to 37,511 units in March last year, down 55.1 per cent.
2. Toyota Kirloskar sales up marginally in March to 13,662 units
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Monday reported marginal increase in total vehicle sales in March to 13,662 units, compared with 13,537 units in the same month last year. In the domestic market, the company reported sales of 12,818 units last month, up 2 per cent as compared with 12,539 units in March 2018, TKM said in a statement.
3. Ashok Leyland sales dip 4% to 21,535 units in March
Hinduja Group flagship firm Ashok Leyland reported on Monday a 4 per cent decline in total sales at 21,535 units in March this year as against 22,453 units during the same month of the previous year.
