New Delhi: Petroleum companies have given huge relief to consumers by cutting the price of LPG. The price of non-subsidized liquefied petroleum gas i.e. LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs 61 in the country's capital Delhi with a fall in benchmark international rates.
At the same time, the price of LPG cylinder has decreased by Rs 65 in Kolkata, 62 rupees in Mumbai and 64.40 rupees in Chennai.
In Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai, the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder without subsidy has come down to Rs 744, Rs 774, Rs 714.50 and Rs 761.50 respectively. This price is applicable from April 1.
This is the second reduction in rates since March, according to a price notification issued by state-owned oil firms.
On March 1, non-subsidised LPG price was cut by Rs 53 per 14.2-kg cylinder. This was preceded by a massive Rs 144.5 per cylinder hike in February.
