Hyderabad: Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das to hold a press briefing on Friday at 10 AM.
In a tweet RBI said,"Watch out for RBI Governor @DasShaktikantalive address at 10:00 am today (May 22, 2020)."
This briefing comes days after Finance Minister had announced a series of measures to boost the economy affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his last press conference on 17 April, Das announced 25 basis points cut in the reverse repo rate to bring it down to 3.75% from earlier 4%.
The Governor also asked banks to allow deferment of EMIs payment for three months starting from March.
In the upcoming press conference, this will be extended for at least two more months.
