Bengaluru:Indian software major Wipro has tied up with the University of Oulu in Finland to develop 5G technologies, the IT vendor said on Tuesday.
As an international science institute, the Oulu-based university focuses on innovation for the future, wellbeing and knowledge through research and education.
While talking to ETV Bharat Timo Harakka, Minister of Employment, Finland said "today is a happy day because I could announce that Wipro has made an investment for 6G not only 5G but 6G laboratory in Oulu University in Northern Finland. So, this kind of investment that large world-class Indian companies make also in Finland are very welcomed."
