New Delhi: Congress leader and former Finance Minister of India P. Chidambaram said on Tuesday that they have proposed a single quarterly return for compliance and the reverse charge mechanism will be abolished.
Chidambaram further added that e-way bill will be abolished and they will ensure that there is no tax evasion through risk management practices and intelligence.
P. Chidambaram, Former Finance Minister Explaining Congress manifesto at the 'Economic Agenda 2019 and Beyond'- AIPC meet, Chidambaram said "NYAY is doable. More importantly it should be done. If anyone says one cannot bring NYAY, then he should leave the chair. The govt did not go bankrupt by implementing MGNREGA."
Discussing on Congress ambitious scheme NYAY, Chidambaram said, "When poor consumes more, they will produce more. Poor today are stuck, they can't go out because they don't have security. Because of insecurity they are not able to move out in search of jobs. It will help people escape poverty."

"Congress manifesto promises MSMEs 3 years freedom from regulations, provide minimum wages, in order to help units that closed down due to blow from GST and demonetisation to re-start business and encourage young entrepreneurs to take risks," said Chidambaram.
