New Delhi:The second budget of the second term of the Modi government will be presented on 1st February. ETV Bharat interacted with Dr MJ Khan, Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture (ICFA), to discuss what the agriculture sector expects from this budget and what are the prospects for farming.
Khan said that Prime Minister Modi had talked about doubling the exports in the agriculture sector to increase the income of farmers, which needs to be worked on and he hopes that in the coming budget there will be some provisions on this aspect.
The development of agriculture sector in India is directly related to the economic development of the country, so in view of the country's economy, new schemes need to be brought in the agriculture sector and there may be changes on some policy things in the coming budget, he added.
