New Delhi:The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) said that now passengers will have to reach the airport three hours prior for domestic flights and four hours for international flights. This step has been taken for security reasons ahead of Independence Day.
This new rule will be in force from August 10 to August 30. Security has been beefed up across the country to counter security threats in the backdrop of the passage of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Bill, that seeks to divide erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State into two union territories - Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
