Hyderabad: US based global financial giant Goldman Sachs company is all set to open its second business in Hyderabad after Bengaluru. The company has agreed to set up its second-biggest business venture in the city to provide financial services. The company is well known for its banking, securities, finance, investment and management services to its global clients.
In a video conferencing with IT and Industries minister KT Rama Rao, the company has vowed to start its business in the city next year. On operational in next June, the Goldman Sachs company will provide jobs to about 500 persons. The company says that it is convinced with stable government, better facilities, human resources of skilled workers, connectivity, houses and infrastructure in the city.
During the meeting with KTR, Goldman Sachs India Chairman Sanjay Chatterjee, MD Gunjan Santhani and CEO David Krishnan have disclosed their decision to start their business venture. Next June is the date to start its global financial services from Hyderabad, the company says. This company boasts of 150 years of history as it began its business in New York in 1869.
Since then it started services in the crucial financial sector and offers services like financial management, funding, joint venture, securities, expansion and related matters. In total, Goldman Sachs has a 6000 strong workforce across its offices spread across the world. With Rs 2.74 lakh cr annual turnover the company has offices in 16 countries.
