Moradabad: Forty years old held for raping minor

A minor girl was raped by a 40-year-old man in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. The police have arrested the accused. The police have registered the case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Moradabad:In yet another case of atrocities against minors an eight years old girl was sexually assaulted by a 40-year-old man in Civil Lines area of west UP's Moradabad district on Tuesday, police informed. The accused has been arrested and booked under the relevant law.

"Medical examination of the girl is being done and the accused has been arrested. FIR has been registered on the complaint of the victim's family. Further action is being taken" informed Rajesh Kumar, circles officer civil lines.

According to the police, accused who had come to the victim's village to attend a wedding took the minor to an isolated place forcefully and committed the crime.

The police have registered the case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
