The Supreme Court stated that it intends to increase the security deposit to visit abroad to 20 crores instead of 10 crores, as newly elected MP from Tamil Nadu, Karti Chidambaram is frequently going abroad. The apex court had allowed Karti Chidambaram, in January, to travel abroad after depositing 10 crores with the secretary general of the SC. The counsel argued today that the money should be returned to him as he returned after his trip.
