New Delhi:Bhutan is an important ally for India. It can be understood with the fact that External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will follow the footsteps of PM Modi. Just like him, he will embark his maiden foreign visit from Bhutan on June 7.
The announcement was made by MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar. He said, "Sam's visit reflects the importance that India attaches to its bilateral relationship with Bhutan, a close friend and neighbour.'
During his visit, S Jaishankar will meet the King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel. He will also meet Bhutanese PM Dr. Lotay Tshering. S Jaishankar will meet his counterpart Dr. Tandi Dorji too.
