RJD has no rights to criticise Bihar government over AES row: MP Sushil Singh

Aurangabad MP, Sushil Singh said that deaths of children in the state due to encephalitis is extremely unfortunate and the government has held several meetings on the matter. He also lashed out at RJD for criticising the government over the issue.

New Delhi: The RJD MLAs protested against the deaths of more than 100 children due to the encephalitis outbreak. The protest took place on the first day of the Bihar Assembly's monsoon session.

Raising slogans, RJD MLAs leaders demanded that Health Minister Mangal Pandey should resign over the deaths in Muzaffarpur due to AES.

Former CM and RJD leader Rabri Devi separately said a probe should be conducted into the deaths by a central investigation agency.

"Children didn't die rather they have been killed due to the negligence of Bihar government. Both state and central governments are responsible. An investigation should be done in this matter. Any investigative agency of the central government should see why children didn't get food to eat," said Rabri.

Talking to ETV Bharat, Aurangabad MP, Sushil Singh said that deaths of children in the state due to encephalitis is extremely unfortunate and the government has held several meetings on the matter.

"The opposition is doing politics on such serious incident also and this is not going to help the families of victims in any way. We all should come together on such issue so that it should not happen from next time, said Singh."

He further said that RJD has no right to criticise the government as their leader Tejaswi was himself missing for so many days. Not even once he had visited Muzaffarpur.
